The Ashland Lions Triathlons is a modified Olympic distance race, that includes:
SWIM: 1 mile
BIKE: 26 miles
RUN: 6.5 miles
The race takes place in Ashland, Massachusetts on the edge of Ashland State Park, and starts/finishes at the Warren Conference Center (click here for a map)
FIRM Racing is the team behind the Ashland Lions Triathlon. They also are the race organizers for the FirmMan Triathlon, US Coast Guard Duathlon, Lions Spring Sprint, Wrentham Duathlon and many others in the Boston area.
SWIM
distance: 1 mile
The swim takes place in the Ashland Reservoir. Swimmers will travel the perimeter of the reservoir. Water temperatures are usually in the low 70s. This is a wetsuit legal race.
BIKE
distance: 26 miles
This two loop course is hilly, with over 800 feet of climbing, most of which occur in miles 1-7 and 13-20. The last 5 miles of each loop are mostly downhill.

Leave the transition area and turn right onto Chestnut St, this changes names to Highland St
Right onto Prentice St
Bear onto Chestnut St in Hopkinton
Right onto Rte 85
Right onto Hayden Rowe
Right onto Union St (rte 135)
Right onto Main St
Right onto Chestnut
Repeat for the second loop
RUN
distance: 6.5 miles
The run is a one loop course that heads south from the Ashland Reservoir and reaches the tip of the Pinecrest Golf Course before turning around and coming back north to the finish. It is a relatively hilly course, with the biggest climbs in the last two miles of the run.

Right on South
Left on Chestnut and back to the finish line
CHARITY
The Ashland Lions Triathlon is a fund raiser for the Ashland Lions Club who support eye care research and eye mobiles for those who can not afford it.
