The Auckland Marathon is one of the premiere running events in New Zealand. Traveling from Devonport on the North Shore of Auckland, through Auckland and finishing at Victoria Park, the race is both fast and beautiful.

The Auckland Marathon is a fairly fast course. Though the first half of the race consists of rolling hills, the second half is relatively flat and enables negative splits.

The Course starts in Devonport on the North Shore of Auckland, then heads around North Shore City before crossing the Harbour Bridge. After crossing the Bridge, the course passes through Westhaven Marina and the Viaduct Harbour before heading out along Auckland City's waterfront. After an out and back in the waterfront, the race follows the same course back to the Viaduct Harbour for a stunning finish at Victoria Park.
