The distances of the Chesapeakeman Ultra Triathlon are equivalent to an Ironman distance race:
* Swim 2.4 miles
* Bike 112 miles
* Run 26.2 miles

Started in 2004, the ChesapeakeMan Triathlon event quickly became a very popular event. Participants swim in the Choptank River before bicycling and running through the Blackwater Preserve.

The event weekend also includes the [ChesapeakeMan Aqua Velo] (swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles) and the [ChesapeakeMan SwimFest] (swim 2.4 miles only).

The ChesapeakeMan events are put on by the [Columbia Triathlon Association], who also spearhead the [Columbia Triathlon], [Eagleman Ironman 70.3], [Iron Girl Columbia Women's Triathlon] and the [Annapolis Triathlon], among others.
