Why We Are Raising Money
Why I Am Raising Money

One of the vexing problems in healthcare cost reduction is how to engage people in experiences that will help promote a commitment to lifestyle choices that will result in physical, mental and spiritual well-being throughout their lifespan. The 100 Mile Club's school and workplace programs provide the economic, educational and emotional support to schools and employers to sponsor and guide students and employees to run/walk a mile a day for each day of the school year. Their newsletters also provide nutrional education. By engaging students (their teachers, parents, siblings) in such experiences, the intent is to lay a foundation for continued positive lifestyle choices which will support a healthy, productive, and personally satisfying way of living. In so doing, totally avoidable illnesses/diseases, disabilities, and premature death will be eliminated, as will be the costs associated with these preventable conditions.

Your gift will be a lifeline to many. I'm running in the 100 Mile Endurance Run to show my support for the organization and to show that it's never too late to grab a pair of running shoes and to get out and about. Thanks so much for joining me in supporting this organization. And while you're at it, how about running/walking a mile in solidarity with me on Oct 20 and Oct 21.
