The 100 Mile Club® provides the opportunity to run or walk 100 miles at school during a single school year and is committed to improving school readiness to learn, creating better educational outcomes, building self-esteem and overall improved health in the lives of children and others.
We are a grass-roots non-profit dedicated to helping our children become healthy, happy, and connected...one child, one school, one community at a time.
Hello Family and Friends! As most of you know, running is a big part of my life. In the past 15 years, I have run many marathons, half-marathons, 10K, 5K, relays, and even 2 ULTRAmarathons. On October 20, 2012, I will run 100 miles nonstop...Yes, that's right. 100 miles.
The group that is organizing this race, The 100 Mile Endurance Challenge (EC100 for short), is The 100 Mile Club. This organization promotes healthy living in grade-school and middle-school children by helping them reach a goal of running 100 miles in a school year. Please consider donating to this worthy charity.
We are running EC100 on October 20-21, 2012 to raise awareness and funds for The 100 Mile Club. This race starts in Corona, CA and finishes at The Santa Monica Pier. Even $5 will make a difference.
The 100 Mile Club (www.100mileclub.com) is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose focus is addressing childhood inactivity and obesity one child, one school, one community at a time.
PLEASE DONATE TO THE 100 MILE CLUB!!! It is such an amazing organization with a REAL DESIRE to help kids!!!! The 100 Mile Club has been an awesome group that has helped all of us UltraRunners to reach for our own goals in running long distances by supporting us throughout our training runs, providing us with help and resources in our training and fundraising and mostly by being our favorite CHEERLEADERS in this whole wonderful, crazy world of ULTRARUNNING. If you choose not to donate to this organization, please show your support by ENCOURAGING ALL RUNNERS and WALKERS of ALL AGES in our endeavor to live a happy and healthy life!
Thank you,
Sally Lachman
