The Champaign County Humane Society is the only open-admission animal shelter in Champaign County. We accept all owner-relinquished companion animals in need, regardless of age, medical condition, or suitability for adoption. Through our outreach programs, we address the root causes of animal homelessness and bring resources and education to pet owners in need of assistance.
Our mission is to instill respect, kindness, and compassion for animals as community values.
For the Illinois Half Marathon this year, I will again don my Abe Lincoln costume and run the streets of Champaign-Urbana.
I am raising funds for the Champaign County Humane Society (CCHS).
My goal is ambitious. I’ve set the bar at raising $1,310, or $100 for each mile I plan to run. I could use your help.
The Champaign County Humane Society works to prevent cruelty to animals, to promote animal welfare, to educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals, and to help find pets their “forever home.” They also provide high quality shelter, medical, and adoption services for animals.
I can’t imagine life without Jackaroo, Copper, and Inka in my home. This is why I want to give back to the CCHS for helping me welcome them into my heart. Can I count on your support? Any amount you can give would be helpful. Your donation will help the CCHS to purchase food, toys, and medical supplies for animals of all shapes and sizes.
