The 100 Mile Club® provides the opportunity to run or walk 100 miles at school during a single school year and is committed to improving school readiness to learn, creating better educational outcomes, building self-esteem and overall improved health in the lives of children and others.
We are a grass-roots non-profit dedicated to helping our children become healthy, happy, and connected...one child, one school, one community at a time.
The 100 Mile Club believes every child deserves the chance to learn how to become healthy and active.
While many communities are taking important steps to reduce the obesity epidemic, we must work together to accelerate the progress. More and more parents are working long hours which reduce parents’ ability to spend time playing and being active with their children.
Childhood inactivity and obesity are at an all-time high and affects 1 of every 6 kids in the United States reports Journal of School Health. To make matters worse, only 8 percent of elementary school students have daily PE at school and todaybudget cuts have minimized or eliminated P.E. altogether.
