Samohi Pep Squad is made up of 55 young student athletes. The Samohi Cheerleading teams compete both locally and nationally throughout the year. Past achievements are:
CIF state champions in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011
USA National champions 2008
UCA national finalists 2010
West Coast Champions 2006, 2009, 2011
The cost of competing at a national level is high. The Samohi Cheerleading team has set a goal of raising $30,000 this season to ensure that each girl can compete without having to pay any out of pocket expenses. This year, a new division of competitive cheerleading is being introduced. USA STUNT competitions are a new and exciting arena of competitive cheerleading. The format will hopefully be used, one day, to introduce competitive cheerleading into the Olympic games.
USA STUNT has been active at the college level for a few years and will be having its inaugural high school debut this year! The team hopes to represent their school in this exciting new format but will need even more funds to do so! Additional fundraising money is needed to pay coaching stipends, pay choreographers and replacement worn out safety equipment.
Thank you for helping us have another successful competitive season!
