The [Iron Girl] event series races are women's only events, designed to empower and encourage women to perform their best. The Iron Girl Lake Las Vegas triathlon is no different. Taking place at the pristine Lake Las Vegas resort, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, the race offers a fun environment that is challenging for participants of all levels.

The Olympic distance event consists of a 1500 meter swim, 40 kilometer bike and 10 kilometer run. The Iron Girl Lake Las Vegas Sprint triathlon offers a shorter distance course on the same day, with distances of a 500 meter swim, 20 kilometer bike and 5 kilometer run. The Iron Girl Lake Las Vegas events are organized by Sunset Racing, who also are the event directors for such popular events as Ironman 70.3 Boise, Metroman Triathlon and Lake Las Vegas Triathlon.
