The Patriot's Half takes place in one of the most historic parts of the United States. The course travels in and along the James River, on the outskirts of historic Jamestown and colonial Williamsburg, where the first of America's settlers colonized. The entire course is flat and fast, traveling over solid terrain through woods, farmlands and lakes. If you are looking for a PR, the Patriot's Half is a race to consider.

The race is part of the Virginia Triathlon Series, which also includes the Culpeper Sprint, Little Pepper and [Giant Acorn Triathlon].

The Patriot's Half is organized by [Set Up Events], the producers of many east coast multi-sport events including the [Kinetic Half], [Kinetic Sprint], [Patriot's International], [Patriot's Sprint] and [Big Lick Triathlon], among others.
