The US Coast Guard Duathlon is a flat and fast course that starts and ends at the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Bourne, MA. It is sometimes windy as that can play a factor in the race. The distances are:
RUN: 2 miles
BIKE: 12 miles

Due to security on the base you must have a valid license with you when you enter the base! Even spectators must have a valid ID. If you are not pre-registered for the race, registration is set up outside the gate. Children under 18 are ok, as long as they are with an adult.
Boston-based FIRM Racing are the organizers of the US Coast Guard Duathlon as well as the Danskin Women's Triathlon, Rockbuster Duathlon, Sudbury Spring Sprint Triathlon, Wrentham Duathlon and more.
RUN
distance: 2 miles
The run is a flat and fast course with minimal elevation gain.
BIKE
distance: 12 miles
The bike course travels through the Otis Air Force Base and is a fairly flat course. The biggest hill is about a 60' elevation gain at mile 9 1/2. Beware of the winds though as they can play a factor in this ride.
RUN
distance: 2 miles
The second run is the same course as the first.
